Netflix is investing major resources into developing original anime series, and this week announced two new series and the renewal of a fan favorite.

Aggretsuko, the short anime series that launched earlier this year about a bored, heavy-metal-loving office worker cat, will return for a second season. Netflix didn’t release too many details about the second season, but did confirm in a teaser, seen below, new episodes will debut in 2019.

The company also announced two new anime series alongside Aggretsuko’s renewal: Ultraman and Kengan Ashura.

Longtime anime fans will know the name Ultraman, one of Japan’s most popular superhero TV shows. The first proper Ultraman series debuted in Japan in 1966, and numerous iterations of the character have appeared in various television shows and other entertainment properties since. The show focuses on a defense group who equip themselves with metal suits capable of inflicting severe damage to other worldly creatures. Think Iron Man, to an extent.

Netflix’s version of the show will focus on “a man possessing the spirit and DNA of the legendary hero Ultraman as he wears a metallic ultra suit and fights against evil,” according to a press release. Studio Production I.G., which Netflix has worked with in the past, will lend its services to the series. Ultraman is set to debut in Spring 2019.

Netflix’s other new anime series is Kengan Ashura. The series will focus on a group of gladiators forced to fight for the rights of various corporations in a massive tournament. The full description reads:

Kazuo Yamashita is an ordinary fifty-six year old man who one day is summoned by the chairman of his company and hired as a gladiator. He learns that these hired gladiators engage in battles called “Kengan Matches: to protect the corporate rights of the businesses they represent. Kazuo Yamashita is assigned to battle a mysterious Kengan fighter named Ohma Tokita. Both men join the “Kengan Zetsumei Tournament” with the hope of winning the spot as chairman of the Kengan Organization.

Larx Entertainment (Danganronpa The Animation) will produce the show. Kengan Ashura will premiere in 2019.

Netflix announced a few other details regarding its anime slate, including a release date for its well-received Castlevania series. Castlevania will return with new episodes on Oct. 26.
