笔辞办é尘辞苍 Sword and Shield guide: Where to find and buy TMs

You can find them as yellow Poké Balls on the floor or buy them from shops

Julia Lee (she/her) is a guides producer, writing guides for games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Genshin Impact. She helped launch the Rift Herald in 2016.

TMs, or Technical Machines, are an integral part of 笔辞办é尘辞苍 Sword and Shield.

They allow you to teach your 笔辞办é尘辞苍 moves that they may not learn on their own and can help balance your team and turn the tides if you’re stuck at a particular gym leader.

Be careful not to confuse these with TRs, or Technical Records, which are items you get through Dynamax Raids and Watts merchants in the Wild Area. TRs vanish after one use, whereas you can use a TM as many times as you want.

There are 100 TMs in the game and they can be tricky to find. While some are just laying around on the floor, designated by a yellow Poké Ball, some can be bought from shops for high prices. With the help of Serebii, we’ve put together a list of where to find or buy all the TMs in the game below.
