The Wrap first announced her casting on Oct. 26, 2018, with information from “individuals with knowledge of the project.” Entertainment Weekly and the Hollywood Reporter also reported the casting, though Marvel made no official comment. Though there was no indication of Langdon’s role would have been, people latched onto the idea that she would be playing Kate Bishop, the successor to Hawkeye.

Update (May 6): Directors Joe and Anthony Russo confirmed on MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast that Katherine Langford filmed a scene for Endgame in which she played an aged-up version of Tony Stark’s daughter Morgan.
“There was an idea that we had that Tony was going to go into the metaphysical way station that Thanos goes into when he snapped his fingers and that there was going to be a future version of his daughter,” said Joe Russo. “We showed it to a test audience and it was ... really confusing.”
Grown-up Morgan was supposed to tell her father she forgave him and let him die in peace. But because the adult version of Morgan didn’t resonate with the audience, the scene never made the final cut.
