Coronavirus is causing huge changes in the comics industry

Social distancing and shelter-at-home orders are disrupting every corner of everyday life, and this spring, the coronavirus pandemic caused a particularly big disruption to American comics. Comics shops closed, and Diamond Comic Distributors completely shut down, as Marvel, DC, and most of the biggest comic-book publishers put business on indefinite hold in 2020.

DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse and other publishers are just starting to discover what making comics is like in the rest of 2020, and it’s been hard to keep up with all the changes and updates.
