GameStop kicks off its annual tax season sale with a members-only Pro Day

GameStop’s annual tax season sale, which the company has chosen to brand as a “Tax ReFUN” sale, kicks off this weekend. (I refuse to type that name more than once, so moving forward I will refer to it simply as the tax season sale).

The tax season sale is promoted as an opportunity to either save some cash during the stressful tax return process or spend your refund on important necessities like video games. Starting with a members-only Pro Day sale on Saturday and opening to the general public on Sunday, the retailer will offer major discounts on games, accessories, collectibles, and Xbox One consoles.

According to GameStop, more than $2,000 worth of discounts will be available in store and online. Those discounts include $50 off Xbox One S bundles, $60 off select headsets and up to $40 off PS4 and Xbox One games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Most of them overlap, but there are a few deals exclusive to either Pro Day or the tax season sale.

GameStop has yet to announce the full sale lineup, but the company shared some highlights in a press release. Those deals are listed below. Both PS4 and Xbox One editions of games are discounted unless otherwise noted.

The full listings for both Pro Day and the tax season sale will be available at GameStop’s website when they go live. Pro Day will take place on Saturday, Feb. 23 and the tax season sale runs from Feb. 24 through March 5.
