Amakumo Peak puzzle solution – Genshin Impact guide

Solve the tile puzzle to drain the water and reveal even more puzzles

Julia Lee (she/her) is a guides producer, writing guides for games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Genshin Impact. She helped launch the Rift Herald in 2016.

In Genshin Impact, Amakumo Peak is an area in Inazuma filled with electro energy and danger. It’s also home to a puzzle with several Electroculus and other adventuring must-haves. Our Genshin Impact guide will show you how to solve the Amakumo Peak puzzle, drain the water, and help all the Seelies get home.

We recommend finishing the “Seirai Stormchasers” quest before you do this puzzle, as it’ll cleanse the Balethunder that damages you as you run around the area. This won’t get rid of the Electro currents in the water, so you’ll still need to avoid touching the water until you drain the pool.

There are several parts to this puzzle that nearby tablets vaguely detail and we’ve broken up the solution below.

Amakumo Peak puzzle map location

The Amakumo Peak puzzle starts below the platform where the Thunder Manifestation boss spawns.

Draining the pool with the glowing tiles in Amakumo Peak

Amakumo Peak has several puzzle mechanisms and many monsters around its inner circle. To drain the pool of water in the center, you’ll need to activate the three-by-three tiles in the middle correctly.

The marked squares need to be glowing, and the unmarked squares can’t glow:

Once you do this, a mechanism will pop up, allowing you to drain the water, revealing a huge hole.

Jump in and defeat the nearby mecha monsters to unlock yet another mechanism to activate. Use it to drain the water even more.

Navigating the Seelies through Amakumo Peak

Once you jump down to the next layer, there will be a door entrance blocked off by a red glowing wall. Use the mechanism next to the door to open the path.

This puzzle requires you to activate various cube switches to activate and deactivate colored barriers. Most of it can be straight forward, as you’ll only have access to certain switches at a time, but we’ve walked out how to do it below.

Seelie 1

  1. Activate the yellow switch.
  2. Activate the red switch past the now opened yellow gate.
  3. Activate the yellow switch again.
  4. Lead the Seelie into its home.

Seelie 2

  1. Activate the red switch up the stairs.
  2. Drop into the hole on the side of the upstairs room.
  3. Activate the yellow switch and climb up the wall through the hole.
  4. Lead the Seelie into its home.

Seelie 3

  1. Run straight past the open blue and red gates, going up until you see a red switch. Activate it.
  2. Go back down and activate the blue switch past the red gate.
  3. Climb back up the stairs (toward the first red switch) and turn around to activate a yellow switch, past a blue gate.
  4. Go into the room with the blue switch and continue on past the yellow gate.
  5. Activate the now-unlocked mechanism and follow the Seelie down the newly drained hole for your reward.

The next level of puzzles.

Take a break from your day by playing a puzzle or two! We’ve got SpellTower, Typeshift, crosswords, and more.
