Genshin Impact ‘Immernachtreich Apokalypse’ Fischl event domain walkthrough

These three huge domains have lots of treasure inside

The fourth part of Genshin Impact’s “Summertime Odyssey” event is focused on Fischl, who has vanished into a sprawling castle. As you did with the others, you’ll need to explore a huge domain to complete this part of the quest, grabbing loot and an Echoing Conch along the way.

Using a camera-like statue, you’ll need to line up 3D objects to create pathways for you to use to scale the castle. Our “Immernachtreich Apokalypse” domain walkthrough will explain how to get through Fischl’s domain using the Gazes of the Deep to repair the bridge, paths to the tower, and save Leon. We also explain where to find all the Precious Chests with Nightwatch Contracts.

Immernachtreich Apokalypse Fischl event domain walkthrough part 1

Right away, you’ll head into the magical book and Mona was suggest for you to fiddle with the Gaze of the Deep nearby. Set it up like so:

The Gaze of the Deep lines up a horizontal piece to create stairs to the left Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Run up the newly created bridge to another Gaze of the Deep and aim it like this:

Another horizontal stair piece connects two areas, going up to the left Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Go up the stairs and take the elevator down. Use the Gaze of the Deep at the beginning of the room to create a new path like this:

A bridge connects straight two paths Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Ride the elevator back up and cross the new bridge. Continue on the path until you see two more Gazes of the Deep. Orient the first one like this:

A diagonal facing archway creates half of a bridge Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

And set up the second one like this to create a bridge:

Using an archway, the Gaze of the Deep connects one part of a bridge Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Head back up the stairs and across the bridge to the first Door of Resurrection checkpoint. At the Door of Resurrection, there’s two Common Chests to grab by aligning staircases with the Gazes of the Deep. You will need to re-use the Gazes to un-set the staircases in order to get them both.

Once you grab the Common Chests, jump down to fight some Hilichurls. Jump down from the ledge to grab a Precious Chest with a Nightwatch Contract in it.

Head back to the initial area (with the Door of Resurrection) and continue on, following the quest marker. A cutscene will play and you’ll be faced with a puzzle with more Gazes of the Deep and tracks for a structure to follow. Set the first Gaze up like so:

A square block lines up with metal tracking on it Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

The second Gaze will go like this:

Another square block lines up a metal track Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

The third Gaze (closest to the blocked exit) will go like this:

The third and final block connects the metal track to an elevator lift Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

The bird statue will travel through the rails up the walls. Interact with the blue barrier blocking the door and head down the stairs to the left.

Use the Gaze to repair the bridge as the quest navigation says. For some reason, this Gaze was really finicky. The answer to this puzzle is obvious but we really had to wiggle our Gaze around a ton before it all clicked. Here’s a screenshot of what it looked like when it worked:

Head back up the stairs and go straight to the elevator. Another Door of Resurrection checkpoint will activate and another cutscene will play. Close the book to start a sequence of cutscenes. Once you get back to the Golden Apple Archipelago, head straight into the mountain and take the elevator up. Follow the path and interact with the second book.

Once you get back into the domain, follow the path down to yet another Gaze of the Deep. Again, this one was kind of finicky, but we had success setting it up like this:

A large wall blocks off a staircase Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Head up the newly created stairs, past the Door of Resurrection, following the quest navigation. Make sure to pick up the Echoing Conch on the right side.

Before continuing on, go down the nearby ladder to find another Precious Chest with a third Nightwatch Contract in it. We marked its location below.

Follow the path down and set up the Gaze like this:

A roof blocks a bridge Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Run down the path and climb up the spiral tower on the right of the ladder to nab a Common Chest. Climb of the ladder and follow the path until you see a cube-shaped mechanism. Hit “rotate” twice and then run down to set the Gaze of the Deep up like this:

A horizontal pillar blocks a laddered wall Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Head straight on the path past the Door of Resurrection and activate the cube mechanism twice to so that the horizontal pillar is to the left of the wind current. Take the wind current up and use the Gaze to align the structures like this:

A short pillar blocks off a bridge Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Jump down and rotate the pillar again using the cube-shaped mechanism and line up the nearby Gaze of the Deep like this:

A horizontal pillar blocks off a ladder Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Climb up the ladder you just created and head to the right to grab another Precious Chest with a Nightwatch Contract. Backtrack to the quest marker to start another cutscene, leading to another puzzle with rails and Leon the bird. Climb down to the ledges below to active the three Gazes of the Deep like the following:

A floating stone pillar blocks another metal railing Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon
Some brown floating wooden cupboards block off the final track of the metal railing Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Once you do this, Leon will move back up and you can start the next cutscene. After the cutscene, interact with the barrier to move forward, and close the book to end this part of the domain.

Again, you’ll be sent off elsewhere before returning to the Golden Apple Archipelago to find the next book. Head up the elevator next to the marked mountain, through the cave, and along the castle steps to get to it.

Once you finish that cutscene, you can open the third book to get to the last part of the domain.

Right away, you’ll need to use the Gaze of the Deep to align the marked box on top of the glowing platform like how we did below:

A purple cube over a large chasm on top of a glowing purple platform Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Head straight, activating a cutscene and another Door of Resurrection. Head to the right and set up the Gaze like so:

A cube with stairs on it sits on top of a platform Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Run past the two empty block platform until you get to the backmost Gaze. Use it to place a block down like this:

A cube on a glowing platform with some steps in front of it Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Backtrack to the Gaze that’s now on your left and set up the cube as shown:

A cube sits on the right while another smaller cube is in the background Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Turn around and make sure the grab the Common Chest at the top of the purple roof on this sideways building. Head back to the Gaze and platform before that to set up the cube with the ladder on it to align with the far-off ladder like this:

A small cube in the distance with a ladder on it lines up with a ladder on the wall Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Climb up the ladder, grab the Common Chest on the right, and continue on the path. Beat the baddies in the room and jump off the ledge straight ahead. Head all the way down, and then climb up the ladder on the right and turn the corner to get another Precious Chest with a Nightwatch Contract.

Head back and use the left Gaze to set up the cubes like this:

A floating block in the air stacks on the frontmost side of another block Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Use the right Gaze to add the third cube on to the stack like so:

A cube connects to the right face of another floating cube Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Use the wind currents to glide on top of the blocks, and then jump and glide to the left, riding another current to a platform with some stairs. Head up the stairs and collect the toy castle. Get on the elevator to head back to the central area.

Now go down the left passage (left, if you’re facing the original toy castle we see in the central area). Use the Gaze straight ahead to set the block up like this:

A block sits under a ledge Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Rather than going down the new path, go right to grab another Precious Chest with a Nightwatch Contract at the end of a purple roof. Glide down the side to the lower platform with the block. Use the Gaze like this to make the tower rotate:

A block connects under a tower from the bottom Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Take the nearby elevator back up to the platform, climb up the ladder, and use the Gaze to place another ladder on a wall:

A block connecting a ladder to the wall Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Run up the ladder, defeat the enemies, and grab the second castle part at the end of the path. Jump down off the edge and head back to the central area. Use the Gaze in front of the tiny castle like this:

A large castle in the scope of a Gaze of the Deep, though it’s actually a small castle Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

Jump into the air current and fly ahead to help Leon once again. Align the blocks like this:

A bird statue on top of a block connected to the right side of a wall Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon
A bird sits on top of a purple block on the ground Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon
The bird statue sits on a purple box now moving towards the end of the puzzle Image: Hoyoverse via Polygon

In order for the boxes to be movable by the Gazes, Leon needs to be on top of them, so make sure you wait for Leon to stop scooting forward before you use the Gaze. Once you save him again, follow the quest navigation to open the last barrier and close the final chapter on Fischl’s domain.

After going through a small maze, a long cutscene will play and Fischl will find herself, ending this part of the event.
