Regice is one of the many Legendary Pokémon that can appear in Pokémon Go. Regice is a solid ice-type, meaning you can use fire-, rock-, fighting-, and steel-type moves to take it down.
In this Pokémon Go guide, we’ll teach you about Regice counters, raids, Regice Shiny, movesets, weaknesses, and more.
Regice counters and weakness
We recommend any of the following Regice counters:
- Rampardos with Smack Down and Rock Slide
- Metagross with Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash
- Machamp with Counter and Close Combat
- Blaziken with Fire Spin and Blast Burn
As usual, you don’t have to use our listed counters, but your team against Regice should use fire-, rock-, fighting-, or steel-type moves to take advantage of Regice’s weakness.
You can use weather boosts to help make your moves stronger. Partly cloudy weather will boost rock-type moves, cloudy weather will boost fighting-type moves, snow will boost steel-type moves, and sunny weather will boost fire-type moves.

Best moveset for Regice
For raiding and gyms, give it Frost Breath and Blizzard for it make the most of its ice-typing, but note that Regice is not a great attacker.
Regice is somewhat useful in PvP, so if you want to use it there, give it the moves Lock-On with Earthquake and Blizzard.
For more information on raids, check out our Pokémon Go raid guide.
Is Regice available Shiny?
Lucky players may encounter a Shiny Regice. If you do see a Shiny, it will catch on the first ball you hit it with, so use a Pinap Berry to score some extra candy.
