The Handmaid’s Tale gets an all-new teaser for the upcoming season, showing just what’s at stake in the dystopian world.
The teaser finds June (Elisabeth Moss) rallying former handmaids together for an uprising. Those on June’s side speak highly of her, while those opposing her sneer about how they should’ve seen her as a threat before. There is also a very “This shot is brilliant and should be shown in any film study class” moment, where June stands right in front of a pair of angel wings. Get it? Because she’s their savior. Other characters, like Moira and Nick make appearances, but don’t do as much as June.
Season 4 of The Handmaid’s Tale started production in March 2020, but was delayed to 2021 due to production halts because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Elisabeth Moss returns, along with Max Minghella, O-T Fabernagle, Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes, and Yvonne Strahovski. Moss will make her directorial debut this season.
