Charlie Hall is tabletop editor at Polygon. He was hired as its first dedicated features writer, and has traveled extensively uncovering obscure communities and creators. He is an expert in the hobby games industry, covering board games and pen-and-paper role-playing games among others. He also specializes in PC games, specifically simulation and strategy titles. He's served as a judge for both E3 and the Origins Awards. His work has been featured in the collection of the Peabody Essex Museum, and he's appeared on both NPR and the BBC.
