Rucco Maag shrine – Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide

Rucco Maag shrine is located within The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s Lanayru tower region in eastern Hyrule, southeast of Lanayru tower.

In this BOTW guide, we’ll help you find the Rucco Maag shrine location and solution and walk you through the Five Flames switch puzzle inside to collect your chest and spirit orb.

To solve the puzzle, you need to activate the switches so that each flame in the floating cube in the middle is lit. It’s a fairly complicated process, so we made you a video.

Here’s the order, written out (all directions assume that you’re standing in front of the cube with the switches, facing the water):

1. Right
2. Top
3. Back
4. Left
5. Front
6. Right
7. Top
8. Back
9. Top

After you solve for the exit, stand in front of the fire near each pillar, and shoot an arrow through them. They’ll catch fire in the air, land on the wooden platforms holding two treasure chests on the far wall, burn the wood, and the treasure chests will fall to the ground. The treasure on the left has an opal, and the one on the right has a silver bow.

Now you can visit Rucco Maag, collect your spirit orb and leave.
